Painting and Essay Competitions for Students to commemorate the 75th years of Indian Independence
(Bharat ka Amrut Mahotsav)

NIWE with the support of MNRE has scheduled eight (8) week events to commemorate the 75th years of Indian Independence (Bharat ka Amrut Mahotsav).

The following are the scheduled events:

76430th May to 04th June 2022RE camp on the operations wind turbine at Kayathar for 15 & 19 years age group (1 week)
87408th to 13th August 2022Interactive sessions on Off-shore Wind Power

Due to complete lock down in Tamil Nadu the first event (Painting and Essay Competition) has been postponed and the revised schedule is from 31st May to 4th June 2021. Due to COVID-19 restrictions it is proposed to conduct the event through online live sessions in MS Teams / Google Meet.

The competitions are planned for the following categories of students:

  1. Up to 7th Standards
  2. 8th to 10th Standards
  3. 11th and 12th Standards
  4. Under Graduate Student

Instructions for online Painting and Essay Competition:

  1. The registration for the Painting competition should be done on or before 25.05.2021 through the following Google Form, Click here for link
  2. The registration for the Essay competition should be done on or before 25.05.2021 through the following Google Form, Click here for link
  3. Virtual meeting link will be sent to all the registered participants.
  4. Events registration time will be 10.00 AM and followed by instruction about the competition.
  5. Event time will be 10.30 to 11.30 AM (One hour).
  6. Participants should switch on the camera while participating in the competition.
  7. Painting / Essay must be of A4 size sheet.
  8. Maximum file size can be up to 10 Megabytes (10MB).
  9. Painting File should be saved as JPEG format.
  10. Essay File should be saved as PDF format.
  11. The maximum length of the Essay will be up to 3 pages.
  12. Name, address, email, age, phone number can be written on the side of the Painting /Essay Each participant should submit only one Painting / Essay.
  13. The file should be named as “name of the participant with initial – school name” (Ex. “S. REEMA – KV Meenambakkam”).
  14. The completed Painting / Essay should be submitted through email to events.niwe@gmail.com
  15. Theme should be the main focus of the Painting /Essay competition.
  16. The Painting / Essay should be an individual effort of a student.
  17. Painting / Essay should be the unique work of participant and any violation will lead to disqualification.
  18. Only original Painting / Essays will be considered for the competition. Any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification of the essay.
  19. NIWE will hold the rights to use the selected and submitted Painting /Essay in any of its activities.
