Special Training Course on

"WIND ENERGY TECHNOLOGY"
for the officials of JSW Energy Limited

06^th – 11^th July 2026

The Skill Development and Training Division of NIWE had successfully conducted the special training course on "WIND ENERGY TECHNOLOGY" for the officials of JSW Energy Limited held during 06^th to 11^th July 2026. The training covered the fundamentals of wind energy, including wind turbine technology, wind resource assessment, wind farm development, installation and commissioning, SCADA, operation and maintenance, and electrical systems. A total of 25 Graduate Engineer Trainees participated in the course, comprising 20 males and 5 female participants.

The training commenced with the registration of participants, followed by the distribution of course kits. The course was inaugurated by Dr. P. Kanagavel, Director & Head, Skill Development and Training (SDT) Division, NIWE. The Coordinator from JSW Energy Limited welcomed the participants and encouraged them to actively engage in the training to gain key knowledge and practical insights that would support the successful execution of the company's future projects.

There were 22 presentations scheduled during the course, which was handled by 10 NIWE Engineers & Scientists.

The participants visited the Renewable Energy facilities available in NIWE campus, such as, Vertical & Horizontal Axis Small Wind Turbines, Wind-Solar Hybrid System, Wind Turbine Nacelle Assembly facility, Metrological Mast, Biogas Plant and SRRA Station

The training programme was successfully completed and the participants expressed a high level of satisfaction with the training programme. They appreciated the well-structured content, knowledgeable faculty, interactive sessions, and the excellent organization of the course. The learning environment was found to be comfortable, engaging, and informative.
