Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav 2021-22 to commemorate the 75 years of progressive Independent India

Report of Fourth Event

Technical paper presentation and Compilation pertaining to Wind Energy

NIWE with the support of MNRE has scheduled eight events (each event are scheduled for a week duration) to commemorate the 75 years of India's Independence (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav).

The fourth event, Technical Paper Presentation and Compilation pertaining to Wind Energy scheduled during 22nd to 27th November 2021 was postponed and conducted successfully during 6th to 11th December 2021.

The announcement about the event along with the instructions were hosted in NIWE website and circulated through Social Media pages along with the below given Flyer.

Registration

Against the announcement, 221 registrations received for all the three categories and only 29 participants have submitted the full length paper for presentation and the details are given in the below table;

All the 29 papers submitted were reviewed by the following Technical Review Committee and the following were the members of the Review Committee;

    Deputy Director (Technical) and Unit Chief, Measurement Division
  3. Mr. J. Bastin
    Deputy Director (Technical) and Unit Chief, Data Analytics Division
  4. Mr. A. G. Rangaraj
    Deputy Director (Technical) and Unit Chief, Forecasting and IT Division
  5. Mr. M. Saravanan
    Deputy Director (Technical), Standards and Regulations Division

The committee reviewed all the papers submitted and selected only 11 papers from all the categories for presentation in the event scheduled during 6th - 11th December 2021.

Programme Schedule

The presentation of the selected papers were scheduled as per the following programme held during 6th - 11th December 2021.

All the 11 selected participants were asked to present the submitted papers in front of the Review Committee for evaluation and to select the Best Paper Award. Out of 11 selected participants, only 09 have presented the papers with detailed explanations and the lively presentations moved with healthy interactions. The committee members asked many questions and provided fruitful tips to the participants leading to improve the quality and technical aspect of the papers.

The Review committee with detailed deliberations recommended 2 Papers as the Best Paper Award. The following are the awardees,

  • K. Ipsitha Hasini for the paper “Wind Energy: A transition to clean energy for our great future”
  • M/s. Wind Care India Private Limited for the paper “Nacelle Crane - A Significant cost Effective Solution For Component Replacement in Wind Turbines”

All the 11 papers selected for presentation has been compiled as Compendium on Wind Energy and the printed document has been sent to MNRE and placed in NIWE Library.
