The FOWIND Supply Chain, Port Infrastructure and Logistics Study assesses the infrastructure and supply-chain requirements for developing offshore wind farms in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. The study examines offshore wind components, local manufacturing opportunities, construction and installation vessels, port infrastructure, logistics strategies, operations and maintenance requirements, and port readiness. It evaluates the suitability of existing Indian ports and identifies opportunities for local industries to participate in areas such as support-structure fabrication, offshore substations and project development. The study also provides recommendations for improving port infrastructure, logistics and supply-chain capabilities to support the future development of a sustainable and commercially viable offshore wind industry in India.
