Report of the Eighth Event
INTERACTIVE SESSIONS ON OFFSHORE WIND POWER

NIWE with the support of MNRE has scheduled eight events (each event scheduled for a week duration) to commemorate the 75 years of India’s Independence (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav).

Final event, “Interactive Sessions on Offshore Wind Power” was conducted successfully on 08.08.2022, 10.08.2022 and 12.08.2022.

The announcement about the event along with the instructions were hosted on NIWE website and circulated through Social Media along with the following Flyer.

Instructions

  1. 1. Interested participants were asked to register on or before 31.07.2022 through the Google form link https://forms.gle/XR1acpC7bTz9Cndh71
  2. 2. Virtual meeting link and instructions were sent to all the registered participants. The teams for the above theme were decided based on the total registrations received.
  3. 3. E- Certificate was provided to the participants.

Totally 409 number of National and International participants registered from wind and its allied industries, students, scholars from academic institutions and professionals for the following three topics.

The sessions were very lively and interactive. The panel members shared their inputs on the topics, “Policy, guidelines for off-shore wind power development”, “Challenges, issues towards development of offshore wind power” and “Supply chain, logistics, skill gap analysis of offshore wind power” followed by Q&A session and interaction with the participants.

Team of national and international experts who have worked in various off-shore wind energy projects, took part in the discussions and it was an excellent forum for the stakeholders to understand the different issues and challenges towards developing the off-shore projects in India.

The event has provided a wonderful learning experience for the participants on offshore Wind power project developments. All the participants were satisfied with the knowledge transferred through this panel discussion on different aspects of the Offshore Wind development and expressed their happiness to NIWE and MNRE for arranging the Interactive Sessions on Offshore Wind Power under the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
