The Skill Development & Training (SDT) Division of NIWE has successfully conducted the Online Customized Training Course on "Wind Energy Technology" during 7th – 9th October 2020. The course addressed all the aspects of Wind Power starting from introduction to wind and its technology, wind resource assessment, installation and commissioning, Grid integration, operation and maintenance of wind farms, financial and policy aspects along with testing and certification of wind turbines. The course was attended by 35 participants. During the 3 days of course, 12 lectures were scheduled. The course content of the training were handled by Scientists, Engineers of NIWE, wind turbine manufacturers and academicians from premier institutions, who have many years of experience in the field.

During the valedictory function, Dr. P. Kanagavel delivered the course summary remarks, Dr. K. Balaraman, Director General, NIWE delivered the Valedictory Address and Gail officials expressed their appreciation and thanks.
The course structure and organization of training was highly appreciated by the participants. The participants were very much satisfied by the quality of lectures and support from the organizing team throughout the course.
