The lectures were delivered by eminent scientists, engineers, wind turbine manufacturers, developers, utilities, consultants and academicians and other wind energy professionals with years and years of experience. During the 24 days of the course, 44 lecture were delivered of which 26 lectures were taken by 18 C-WET scientists and rest by 5 manufacturers, 4 developers, 2 consultants, and 4 premier Academicians.

The lectures often included exercises and case studies to stimulate active participation and dialogue. Excursions to operating wind farms and manufacturing facilities, and practical activities on the actual grounds to provide complete knowledge transfer to the participants. This training acted as a liaison between various ministries, industries and academic institutions in Africa and India.

As part of the training course, the practical training with Wind Resource Assessment laboratory, instrumentation of Testing & R&D facilities ware also showcased apart from the factory visits to M/s. Leitner Shriram Manufacturing Limited and M/s. Gamesa Wind Turbines Private Limited where they have had a chance of listening from the industry experts who is actually in the process of making wind turbines including the blades and visiting the manufacturing facilities.

To provide hands on experience, all the participants visited M/s. MinVayu facilities at Auroville where all the participants had a chance of manufacturing Small Wind Turbine themselves after getting theoretical training of how to manufacturing the Small Wind Turbine with the local materials at low cost.
