WIND FARM DEVELOPMENT AND RELATED ISSUES
held during 06th - 07th December 2007

ITCS unit had successfully organized the Fifth National Training Course on “WIND FARM DEVELOPMENT AND RELATED ISSUES” on 6th & 7th December 2007 to address all aspects of Wind Power starting from Wind Resource Assessment to project implementation and operations & maintenance in a focused manner.

The course was attended by 72 participants as against the targeted participants of 30 from Academic Institutes, Industry, State Nodal Agencies, Developers and Consultants from various parts of the country. The training course was inaugurated by Shri. V. Subramanian, IAS, Secretary, MNRE.

The course content for the training was carefully thought out syllabus with specific subject experts giving lectures.

The training course addressed the following aspects:

  • Wind Resource Assessment
  • Design and Layout of Wind Farms
  • Wind Turbine Technology
  • Grid Integration of wind Turbines
  • Certification of Wind Turbines
  • Testing of Wind Turbines
  • Operation & Maintenance (O&M) aspects of Wind Farms
